Reminder:

We (Adam & Myself) will be hanging out @ orleans tonight from 8:30PM till’ about 10:00pm. At least i’ll be there till’ 10. Adam stays into the follwing morning.

So if you want to come out, listen to some good live music, Jam a bit, watch some magic, or listen to the shenanigans of adam and myself combined into our super random state, 8:30 it is.

EDIT: So it was closed tonight. Amazing. We all got there to jam and the exhaust fan in the kitchen was broken so the kitchen was closed. Kitchen closed = orleans closed. Next jam i’ll be attending is the 22nd. stupid exhaust.

Yes. That is correct. I own a Jack Bauer action figure. And I know, i just know that you want one secretly. And where did I get it? My amazing gf bought it. How rad is that?

Fact: Did you know, Jack Bauer shot Helen Keller in the knee to make her talk? lol.

Fact 2: If you spell Jack Bauer in a Scrabble game, you win. Forever.

If you have not heard of Keith, well.. that is unfortunate for you.

Keith is a world wide Magician / Mentalist / Illusionist from Ireland. He has had numerous International Television Specials with numerous different networks.

Keith was recently on Ellen, performing his favorite spike routine. All of his videos can be found on youtube. I would highly recommend checking them out.

The first special I saw with keith was him performing larger scale illusions around the world and some street magic-esque effects. he recently did a special called ‘Keith Barry Extraordinary” and this whole special was devoted to performing for celebrities. Some Celebs that appeared in the special were Matthew Mcconaughey, Jessica Simpson, Elijah Wood, Lindsey Lohan etc.

All of these clips can be found on Youtube. He is really a great performer. 3 weeks ago he was headlining the Planet Hollywood hotel & resort on the Blvd in Las Vegas. This past week keith came to town for 2 shows friday and saturday in Toronto. I was unable to make it out to watch him, but from what I hear, he was just amazing.

I did however, get to session with him for a good 3 hours on thursday for a good 3 hours before his show on friday. We hung out downtown at the shop and talked about magic, and methods, and different effects for a long time. What a nice guy. Very genuine and he has one hell of an awesome irish accent. If you could purchase accents, I would buy his.

Anyhow, we had a picture together, he grabbed a random book and held it up, dont ask why but you can check it out below. He is a super nice guy. Go watch his vids.

I bid you good evening,

I picked up a deadly skill in the early months of 2005. My sister was just engaged to my now brother in law and this is how it all began.

My brother in law would come to pick her up for the evening, and knowing woman, never ready, or on time, (for those of you who are, exclude yourselves from the previous statement) would be forced to wait at least 25 minutes. Minimum.

Being the nice guy that I am, I would keep him company. Usually show him magic, entertain him a bit etc. but after a solid 3 + months of keeping him company every night, I began to run out of things to do with a deck of cards.

So we invented a game. We set up the cards ace through king, in order at the foot of the stairs, propped up against the backside of the stair. We then took position at the front door, with the cards equally split and began to attempt to throw the cards. The game was to hit one of the cards propped against the stairs. If you hit a 7, you had 7 points etc. If your lost with the rules, admit yourself somewhere.

Whomever had the most points at the end lost. Im kidding, they won. lol. When we first started, we were horrible, the cards would flutter but 1 foot infront of us. With time, we becam quite accurate.

below is a demonstration of my precision with cards. 2nd try none the less, but the laptop was situated about 22 feet from where I was standing. My goal: hit the camera lens with a playing card. And the lens, is a built in webcam on a macbook pro no bigger then 1 quarter of the smallest postage stamp you have ever seen. . .

Yes, it’s that time again.

Adam and I chat over some home made thin crust and give some updates about how the podcast has ended.

Cards tricks at nyny

I hate them. Well, not really, sometimes i guess.

Because I have vegas on my mind.. I have been playing around with cards today. So I thought I would do something nice and put up a rough draft video of something i am working on.

You guys get the inside scoop. No one ever gets to see what Im working on besides Adam and of course J. BUT, today, il let you in.

This is just a quick thing I would do to get out of a performance if ever asked to perform when I did not want to. I call it, “I hate card tricks..”
